Just some random cuteness...

...of my two sweet boys.

Playing peek a boo over the couch

Giving kisses to the dogs

I posted this before during my week of LOVE but I love it so much I had to re post it.....They are so cute.

Man, when did my kids grow up? Trey will be in middle school next year...Look at his eyes...Gorgeous

This picture makes me laugh...Aiden is just as big as Trey when it comes to stuff like this... Trey got Xbox Live for Christmas and Aiden loves to watch Trey play...While big brother was off at school Aiden quietly went in Trey's room and put his head phones on and grabbed the controller...He was ready to play.

The significance of the Red Envelope

I Love that we have culture in our lives. I also love being taught and being able to teach the boys about the Chinese culture. During Chinese New Year we gave the boys their red envelopes with money inside and they also received some in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Yee.  The boys were thrilled to open up their envelopes. I found this article online and I thought I would share it for those of you who don't know about the significance of the red envelope.

A red envelope (紅包, hóngbāo) is simply a long, narrow, red envelope with money in it. Traditional red envelopes are often decorated with gold Chinese characters like happiness and wealth.

Unlike a Western greeting card, red envelopes given at Chinese New Year are typically left unsigned. For birthdays or weddings, a short message, typically a four character expression, and signature are optional.

Kids learn promptly the significance of the Chinese Red Envelope since on New Year's Day, they are given the shiny things with money inside!

And of course they quickly learn the words for red envelope... in all the dialects they can manage: "hong pao" in mandarin, "lai see" in cantonese.

You get hong paos from grandma, grandpa, uncles, aunts, mom and dad of course, so by the end of the festivities, you can accumulate quite a bit of cash!!!

Tar Heels 2nd place

The Basketball season has come to an end...Trey's team (Tar Heels) took 2nd place this year. They did an awesome job and only lost one game all season. I loved watching every game. It seems like I have the most anxiety watching him play basketball than any other sport. Maybe it's the fast pace of the game. Although I did get quite nervous when he pitched last year in baseball. I think everyone wants their kids to do a great job and it's only natural to feel that way. I am so proud of Trey. He has learned so much this year. He was in the U-12 league which made him one of the youngest on the team. He had a GREAT coach and he learned a lot from just playing with older kids. I can't wait for next year. Great Job Tar Heels!!!

I received a...

Stylish Blogger Award!!!

Thanks Danyette!!!
~I love that people look at my blog
~I love that people still blog (I feel like a lot of people have left the blogging world due to facebook)
~I love looking at all my readers blogs

Here are the rules...
1. Thank the person who gave you the award
2. Share 7 facts about yourself
3. Award 7 new bloggers with the award

Thanks again.... I have known Danyette since about middle school.  She was really good friends with my sister and we were also on Drill Team (Dance) together for two years in high school. Sorry I had to throw that "dance" in there because my husband informed me that he had never heard of drill team before until I told him. Apparently, it's not an east coast thing. LOL

7 facts about myself that you may not know:

1.  I am a little OCD at convenient stores. I cannot take the first lid, the first cup, or the first straw when getting a fountain drink. I have to get it myself just so I know I am not getting the "firsts."

2.  I LOVE Kim Kardashian....I think she is gorgeous and I secretly wish I had her booty....LOL...I guess it's not a secret anymore.

3.  I am shy and a bit insecure. I do not make a good first impression to most because of this. I come across snotty but I'm not I promise. You just need to get to know ME. I am working on this (:

4.  I have an obsession with strollers, diaper bags, and purses. I am always buying a new one. (p.s. I still haven't found the perfect diaper bag)

5.   I want to buy a scroll saw so I can cut out my own crafts and build things.

6. I have to have english toffee cappuccino every morning and a Diet Pepsi every day. (I know, healthy right)

7. I HATE going to the Dentist. I would rather visit the Gynecologist 10 times than go to the Dentist. It's fresh on my mind because I have to go to the dentist on Friday and I am a nervous wreck ):

Well, there you go. Seven facts that you may not have known about me.
Now I pass this award to:

Mom

Happy Heart Day 2011

I LOVE this kissy kissy mushy mushy day and I LOVE waking my boys up with a little bag full of surprises.

Trey had just gotten up for school and Aiden baby was
stirring a bit so we woke him up with lots and lots of kisses
(as you can see, he is still a bit tired)
But that face quickly turned into a smiling face
when he opened up a movie of his favorite show,
a Dr. Seuss book, a Disney hugs and kisses book,
a little puppy book, and a few treats.
Trey also got a movie, a book about the military of course,
some basketball shorts, bookmarks, and a few treats.
They were two happy boys.
 The boys reading their books
I LOVE these boys more than anything.
And I can't forget to thank my sweet husband
for getting me some roses, a glee CD (yes I LOVE glee),
my favorite red velvet bundt cake with cream cheese icing,
and a one hour massage at a spa.
He's the best!!!
When I was at the book store I saw this book
and couldn't put it down. I bought it to read to my boys
and it will definitely be a favorite of mine for years to come. It's a flip sided book...like love it never ends.

I Love You More
written by Laura Duksta  Illustrated by Karen Keesler

Walking outdoors one day a little boy turned to his mother and asked, "Mommy, just how much do you love me?"
Surprised at the question but with no delay, she replied with a smile...
I love you higher than the highest bird every flew.
I love you taller than the tallest tree ever grew.
I love you longer than the longest path ever wound.
I love you prettier than the prettiest flower ever found.
I love you deeper than the deepest fish ever swam.
I love you stronger than the strongest big river dam.
I love you mightier than the mightiest wind ever blew.
I love you fuller than the fullest moon you ever knew.
I love you brighter than the brightest star ever shone.
I love you more, so much more than you've ever known.
Then she wrapped her arms around him with all the love that she had and he felt it all surround him when he gently whispered, "know what mommy?..."
I love you more!

(the other side)
Walking along a path one day, a mother turned to her son and asked, So, just how much do you love me?"
Ready for the question, the little boy took her hand and began...
I love you quieter than the quietest caterpillar ever creeped.
I love you further than the furthest frog ever leaped.
I love you bigger than the biggest bubble ever blown.
I love you freer than the freest kite ever flown.
I love you higher than the highest swing ever swung.
I love you sweeter than the sweetest song ever sung.
I love you longer than the longest lollipop ever tasted.
I love you louder than the loudest rocket ship ever blasted.
I love you taller than the tallest giraffe ever grown.
I love you more, so much more than you've ever known.

Then he wrapped his arms around her with all the love that he had and she felt it all surround her when she gently whispered, "know what son?..."
I love you more!

Happy Valentines Day to my sweet boys and my wonderful husband.
XOXO

A week of LOVE Day 7

I had a lot of fun posting a week of LOVE. It went by so fast and there are tons of more pics I could post and I could go on and on and on but I guess I will save that for later. I am ending this week with a picture of my family on my Dad's 60th Birthday last September. I LOVE my family so much!!!

.
And I couldn't post a family picture without our little Brittney Bo. She completes our family of 6 and we all miss her so much. For those of you who don't know, this is a picture of my little sister Brittney. Our little angel flew to heaven when she was just one year old.  She holds a special place in all our hearts. She was the cutest, chubbiest sweet baby girl and I LOVE her so much.

A week of LOVE Day 6

Of course I couldn't forget our doggies during this week of LOVE. They are such cute little dogs and we love them to pieces. Aiden LOVES taking them on walks and we all love to cuddle with them. Here's a few pics of them taken within the last couple of days. Sophie is in desperate need of a trim around her eyes.

A Week of LOVE Day 5

I definitely wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for this man. He has taught me so much over the last five years. He is the most selfless person I know and he makes me a better person each and every day. (even though I can be stubborn at times) I am still working on that:) I LOVE you honey and thank you so much for everything you do for our family.

This is a picture of the two of us at our Chinese Wedding Banquet in NYC. When our computer crashed last year I put all of our pics on discs and I can't find the one I am looking for right now so this pic will have to do.

A week of LOVE Day 4

My sweet husband gave me this camera three years ago. He knew how much I LOVED photography and surprised me with this as a wedding gift. I was elated. Since then I have started my own photography business and couldn't be happier with the way things are turning out. This is definitely on my list of LOVES.

A week of LOVE Day 2

This might be a silly love to some people, but I seriously cannot go a morning without my english toffee cappuccino. I have it every single morning and have had for over five years. (except during my pregnancy.) Definitely not helping the waist line but I LOVE it so much. MMMMMMMMM!!!! It makes my morning ritual that much better.

Gung Hay Fat Choy!!!

Happy Chinese New Year!!!

Jason's college buddy who now lives in China came to Vegas for Chinese New Year. I had my friend watch the boys on Monday night and we went out to dinner at the Bellagio. We had a great time and a great meal. On Tuesday night Brian invited us all to go on a limo ride with them. We met them at the Bellagio and we hopped in the limo for a few hours. The driver took us to several different sites and showed us many things that I had never even seen.

Here's the boys at the Bellagio all decorated for Chinese New Year....It was beautiful.
