Winter Wonderland

Just as the snow started to fall Trey was outside in it. He just couldn't believe that it was snowing in VEGAS! He was out of school for the day due to parent teacher conference and was so excited to be able to be outside in the snow instead of school.

A little while later, it was still snowing. YAY! This is a picture of the front of our house with our tree still standing......

As the snow kept falling I realized I didn't have anything to cook for dinner. Trey was more than happy to go out and brave the snow to go to the grocery store with me. I was a little hesitant. We walked outside and our car was covered. I didn't have a scraper (are you kidding, it's vegas) so I had to go inside and get the broom. As I was coming back outside I slipped a couple of times but I caught myself thankfully. That would not have been good. My sides have already been hurting quite a bit from my ligaments stretching. The roads were kind of scary because they don't snow plow the roads here, so I just went slow and we made it just fine.

And now we are off to the grocery store and the car is FINALLY cleaned off!

When Jason got off of work, he came in the door and immediately told Trey "Lets go play in the snow" Trey was so excited. So as I was cooking dinner I decided to go outside and check on them. They had already built a massive snowman just from the snow on our sidewalk. I cannot believe how much it snowed here. Me being from Utah, and my husband being from New Jersey, we kind of miss the snow (sometimes.) So this was a great treat for us! No more dreaming of a white christmas. We got the real stuff.

After several hours of snowfall, our tree in our front yard collapsed. The snow was too heavy for it, and it fell right onto our sidewalk into three different parts. We decided to go in for the night and as we were watching TV, a banner came across the bottom screen and announced that clark county school district was taking a snow day today! So now Trey has no school today either. He was elated. It struck me kind of funny because I remember it snowing in Salina a ton and it seemed like we never got any snow days. But this is Vegas after all!!!!!!

Christmas Party

We had our annual Malmgren Christmas Party last weekend in Mayfield. We had a lot of fun. We ate dinner, unwrapped christmas presents, and then we were off on a wagon ride pulled by some clydesdale horses. They took us up to a little santa house and some little "elfs" came out of the house and gave us all candycanes. Then we made another stop to a nativity scene. We all sat on some benches and listened to a story about Joseph and Mary. When the story was finished we all had hot chocolate for the wagon ride back. It was very cold outside but everyone had a good time. Once we got back to the town hall where our party was held, we got a nice surprise. Santa Claus had dropped by to see us all. The children all got a present from him and Mrs. Claus. and were thrilled to see them both. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas. It was great seeing all of the family again.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Usually I am in bed right now, but I just finished packing and I wanted to write a few things about what I am thankful for this holiday season.
*First of all, I couldn't ask for a better husband. Jason is so caring and loving and we are so grateful that he came into our lives. He is so giving and he makes me want to be a better person. We love him so much.
*My little boy Treylan. He is so amazing. He has adjusted so well down here in Vegas, gets good grades, plays sports, and enjoys every minute of it. He makes me so happy. He is turning into my little man now. We love you so much little guy.
*My baby boy. We just found out that we are having a little boy. We are so excited. Everything looks great and he is healthy. It's such a blessing. We can't wait for you to get here little one!
*My family. I wouldn't be here without them. They have stuck with me through good times and bad. Whenever I need them they are always there for me. I talk to either my mom or my sister every day, and it makes me feel like I am not so far away. I love them and miss them so much.
I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

A Day at Bonnie Springs!

A couple weeks ago Jason took Trey and I out to Bonnie Springs. It's an old cowboy town about thirty minutes from vegas. We had a great time watching mellowdramas, looking through the old stores, train ride, petting zoo, and we also had lunch at the restaurant there. It was a good little outing. Trey loved petting all of the animals and feeding them. It's always nice to have an outing whatever it may be. I love spending time with my boys!!!!

Halloween Fun

Trey at his halloween parade at school.

We went up to Salina for Halloween this year and the kids had a blast. It was the first time that we all got to go trick or treating together. Halloween landed on a perfect day this year. Since Trey is out of school on track break we decided to stay up to Salina for a week. Trey had a lot of fun playing with his cousins and I had fun just lounging around. It was well needed. The kids all looked so cute in their costumes.

Soccer Game

Trey has had two soccer games this year. He absolutley loves it. He is such a great little player. The first game he made two goals and his buddy made the other two goals. The second game which was last saturday Trey scored four goals. They won 6-0. He is so cute when he plays. The last pic on here is his coach congratulating him on making a goal. The video below is not very long but I actually had my camera in video mode when he made a goal. He is number 10 and is in the crowd of kids. You will see him kick it into the air and into the goal. This is his first year playing so I wondered how he would do. What a great little player he is! Oh, and I still do not have my USB cords so this smaller camera will have to work for now.

Trey making a goal.

Pumpkin Patch

So I decided I needed to get out a little more and make myself feel better. There was a pumpkin patch set up close to where we live and we took trey there to have some fun. You can buy pumpkins there, ride some rides, and they also had blown up bouncin slides. Trey had a lot of fun. He even got Jason to hop in one of the spinning rides with him. The weather FINALLY cooled off. It was actually a little cold to us. It felt awesome though. Just like fall should feel. As you can see I still have my lovely accessory "the pump" on.

Oh and yes I did chop all of my hair off. I know what you all are thinking, but it feels dang good. I was sick of not being able to take the time and do it. And one thing is for certain. Hair always grows!!!!!!!

Another Update....

Hey everyone! I thought I would update you all on how I am doing. I am actually feeling alot better. I still have my reglan pump in and I believe that is making a huge difference. I have been able to keep my food down for almost a week now and I am just about back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I have to eat like every two hours or I get really nauseated. I am really getting sick of the food that I have been eating. If anyone has any suggestions on some foods that would agree with me I would love to hear them from you. Right now I am just eating soups, broth, crackers, toast, cereal, and things like that. My nurse said that I can now start eating more things since I have kept those down. When I talked to the nurse today we changed my dose on my pump and we will see how that goes. If all goes well, I can continue to lower my dose until I am only getting the same amount as two reglan pills would give me. Once I hit that point I can get rid of my pump. I hope it comes soon. I am getting quite sick of this thing. Especially the fact that I have to change the sight every three days and it does not feel too good.

Oh and I will put some "joyful things" on her pretty soon. I lost or guess I should say misplaced my USB cord actually all of my USB cords. ( I don't know how that happened) I am losing my mind lately. But Trey had his first soccer game last saturday and I took some cute pics of him. As soon as I find the cord I will post some new pics on here........

Update

So, here is my update. Right now I am sitting here with tears, an IV hooked up to me and also a medicine pump which goes through my thigh. The nurses said that I will have to have the IV fluids running into me constantly probably until Monday. It's so hard when I have things to do. I have to unhook myself every time I need to take Trey to school and pick him up. I am hoping things will get better soon. Thanks to my husband who has been extremely supportive and Trey who has also been helping me. I don't know what I would do without them. I definately wouldn't be getting this kind of care of it wasn't for Jason. Keep your fingers crossed for me.......

Pregnancy update....

So I was hoping that this pregnancy would be easier than the last. Wishful thinking, I guess. Monday afternoon I was sent to the hospital per my doctors orders to get an IV treatment for dehydration. I had to go to a hospital clear across town because that is where my doctor does his deliveries. I spent seven hours in the ER before I got to see the doctors. I sent Jason and Trey home once three hours had passed because Trey needed to get his homework done. Trey was quite concerned and didn't want to leave me there. I felt so bad. At around 11:00 p.m I finally got to see the the doctor. They immediately gave me an IV. I had three bags of solution pumped into my veins before I could go home. I was so dehydrated that after two bags I didn't even need to use the restroom. They made me drink some orange juice and made sure it didn't come back up before I could go home. I called Jason around 3:00 a.m. and told him that I was about to be released. Him and Trey came and got me and I finally made it home around 4:00 a.m. I talked to my doctor and they are thinking about putting me on a pump that will pump medicine into me 24/7. It scares me a lot. I will do anything I need to do to keep myself and this baby healthy but I am definately nervous about it. The home health called me today and talked to me about the pump. They will show me or Jason how to stick the small needle into my upper thigh and I will have to carry the pump around which is only the size of a small remote. They are talking to my insurance today and will get back to me within 24-48 hours. I will keep you updated on my condition. Pray for me!

It's Official......

Photobucket
Jason and I are having a baby! We are so excited! I wanted to wait to tell everyone but I just couldn't hold it in any longer. I know several of you were wondering if it was going to happen. Today I had my first Doctors appointment. I have been soooooo sick and that is why I haven't been keeping up to good on my blog. I am eight weeks along and the due date for baby yee is April 20th, 2009. It's definately bittersweet. I am so elated that I am pregnant, but have been so sick. I have been on Reglan, Promethazine, Compazine supp., and now my doc just put me on Zofran. I took my first Zofran today and I hope I don't jinx myself but I believe it is working better than everything else I have taken. I actually got an apple in today and some raspberry snapple. Believe me that is a lot if you would have been around me the last week. I couldn't keep anything down. I have only lost five pounds and so I am hoping with this new med that I am taking I will be able to start "living" again. It's so hard when you have other responsibilities like school children and soccer and not to mention my dogs. Ugh! I love them though. Well, just thought that I would let everyone know about our GREAT NEWS.......

Trey's first day of 3rd grade!

What a handsome young man. Today was Trey's first day of school this year. His school is only two years old and it just went to year round this year. I am actually quite excited for it. He got track 4 which means he gets the whole month of November, March, and July off and all of the holidays in between. I think it is a great idea for year round. Kids seem to get bored during the summer months and this will also keep his mind on learning. His school also has a dress code in which they can only where certain colors and no logos of any kind. Again, I think that's also a good thing because kids and parents tend to get caught up in the whole "brand thing" which can make others feel bad if they can't afford it and may also be distracting. Another thing that I love about his school is how safe they are. Anyone not attending schorr elementary has to sign into the computer and wear a name tag before they can even be let in the doors. I am so glad they do that now! Well, my little boy seems to be growing up so fast and I am sure this year will fly by like the rest. Good Luck with third grade Trey, I love you!

Happy 8th Birthday Treylan!

WoW....Time flies doesn't it? I cannot believe my baby is already eight years old today! I was looking back at some pictures of him when he was just a little guy. What a cutie pie. He was such a playful baby. I can't believe how blonde his hair was!

It used to be Elmo, Fuffy, Bottles, and Naptime. Now it's Star Wars, Sports, Playstation, and School. What a difference, let me tell you and I have enjoyed every minute of it..... I love being a mom and I wouldn't change it for anything. It's such a blessing to have a child in your life. I have watched Trey grow in so many ways. He has been through alot in his little life and I believe he is going to be a strong person because of it. I LOVE you little guy! Happy Birthday!

Celebrating Trey's 8th Birthday!

Trey, Braxon, Tanner, Britton, Addi, Mckinlee, Maci Bo
Kyler, Riley, Kya, Jagger, Dylan, and Jaxon

Since school and sports were starting for everyone, we decided to celebrate Trey's Birthday a little early so his cousins could come down. Jason had to work up in St. George so I took advantage of the situation and planned his party for the same time. Trey had a great time. We had his party at Jumpin Jacks there in St. George. It was a lot of fun, even for the adults.... They had several blown up slides and obstacles, and we even got everyone an animal at animal land. It was just like build a bear with the exception of a few things...

Trey was so glad that he got to see his cousins again before the crazy school year begins. We had a hotel room at the courtyard marriot and they got to come over and swim with us. They all love to be around one another and didn't want the day to end. Thanks mom and dad for bringing the kids down. That means a lot to us and they all enjoyed themselves thoroughly. And thanks everyone for coming to Trey's party. It was great seeing all of you.......

Olympic Games

I just had to post these pictures of the opening ceremony at the Olympic Games in Beijing. It was the most spectacular opening I have ever seen. The artistic and historic aspects of the program were absolutely beautiful.

Breaking Dawn

WoW! I am officially finished reading the whole twilight saga. I must say that anyone who hasn't read these books, you must. Even if you aren't a "big reader." (Mom) They are absolutely intriguing. I can honestly say that these four books in the Twilight Series are the best books I have ever read...............What an amazing ending to such an amazing saga!

Front Flips and Cannonballs

Trey and I went over to my friend Savannah's yesterday. We decided to take the kids swimming. Trey absolutely loves it. He's my little fish. He seems to not be afraid of anything. He dives, cannonballs, and even does front flips into the water. And me, I still plug my nose when I jump into the water. Pathetic, I know.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

I got some really cute pics of Trey and Avery. He was so good with her. I can't wait until he gets a sibling of his own. Thanks Savannah for having us over. We had fun with you two. It's nice to have some adult conversation. It gets kind of lonely around here while my hubby is at work.

And last but not least, I had to post some new pictures of my sweet little puppies Tuffy and Sophie.
