Result....Fractured Wrist

And so it begins...I got a call from the school nurse last Thursday about an hour after I dropped Trey off telling me that Trey had hurt his wrist at recess. I was thinking to myself "Oh, he's fine...boys get hurt. It will feel better soon." The nurse told me that I should probably come and get him just to make sure. So I threw some clothes on (come on, it was only 10 am. I was sitting at my computer with my pj's on), got Aiden ready and headed to the school. Once I picked him up I could see that it was swollen and red but no bruise. He was in pain but wasn't crying or anything so I called my pediatrician to see if I could squeeze him in and off to the ped we go.

After waiting in the room for what seemed like an eternity with a wild and crazy one year old we then had to go over to Steinberg Diagnostics to get an x-ray on his hand/wrist. "Oh great, another waiting room." Once we got into the second waiting room at the diagnostics center Aiden was ALL over the place. He was grabbing the kleenex boxes and pulling all the tissues out. Once I hid all the kleenex boxes he decided that he would then just climb on the tables. When I pulled him off the table numerous times he then decided that he would just push the table down the hall. Oh my goodness, my Aiden baby is wild. Finally we got called back to get Trey's X-ray done. Once we were finished with that we had to wait again for the radiologist to make sure they didn't need more films. At that point I had put Aiden in his stroller and was taking laps around the place to keep him occupied. After about 15 more minutes we were told we could go. Now it was just a waiting game. That night at about 9:00 pm we got a call from our doc letting us know that Trey should not participate in field day and we need to get an appt. with the orthopedic doc ASAP. On Friday we headed to the orthopedic office and the x-ray results showed a fracture in his wrist. We were told he would need a cast for one month. Trey was actually kind of excited to get a cast on. (weird huh) He picked his color, got it on, and off we went right back to school. He wanted to go to field day soooo bad. So we got to the office, they taped a bag on his arm so his cast wouldn't get wet(they were having water fights) and he couldn't get out there fast enough. What a trooper. Boys will be boys. I am sure there will be more of these stories to come, but I am crossing my fingers that there won't be. All I can say is four waiting rooms in less than 24 hours is way too much with a one year old. LOL  Hope your arm heals up fast Trey. Love ya:)

My Baby Picasso

My Aiden baby is already an artist. He LOVES to draw and color. Whenever there is a pencil, crayon, or pen laying around he snatches it up and starts drawing. He is so dang cute. One of his favorite things to do is to get in Daddy's Pharmacy coat, reach into the pockets, and pull out a pen and paper. He then sits on the floor and quietly draws for several minutes. I love it. We have an artist in the family. I guess he does have a little of his momma in him..... YAY!

He just got done eating dinner and straight to the floor he went with a pencil and paper. Cheesy face and all he is content as can be. Look!!! He even knows how to hold the pencil right. What a cutie pie:)

Mommy's Loves

I'll LOVE you forever
I'll LIKE you for always
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be....
I just LOVE that book. It's definitely one of my favorites that I read to my babies. It's got such a great message. I just LOVE my boys so much. There are really no words to describe how much I love being their mommy. My boys are so different in so many ways and I love every little thing about both of them. They are growing up so fast. Trey will be 10 in August and that just seems crazy to me. I will have a son in the double digits. Where did the time go? He got braces on his top teeth and I think it makes him look so much older. Aiden is running all over the place and loves to play with his big brother. They have so much love for each other.  I am so proud to be their mommy and am so blessed to have them in my life. XOXO

Aiden and Mommy getting ready to go on a bike ride. Aiden absolutely LOVES this. This baby seat is AMAZING. I LOVE it! It fits on the bike perfectly and I love that he is in front of me. It's much easier to balance with him being on the front as well. Genius idea!!! I am so glad I found it:)

Aiden loves getting inside the toy chest and playing. He takes out most of the toys and then climbs in. He is so funny. I love his curiousity and he is such an adventurous little guy. He is always finding something to get into. He loves to climb on everything which makes me super nervous and he LOVES to explore outside.  I love you my curious george. You make me so happy:)

Spring Fling

Trey and his good friend Josh at their Spring Fling at school. They had a lot of fun. We never did anything like this in Elementary. They had a DJ also and all the kids had a blast singing and dancing on the dance floor.

What a funny little guy

Aiden is so silly. He gets soooooo messy when he eats. He refuses to eat unless he can feed himself. I guess he just likes to have control on what is going in his mouth. He loves noodles of all kinds. His favorites are spaghetti and chow mein. Look how messy this sweet baby is. And I must mention that he hates bibs too. He rips them off as soon as they go on. Thank goodness for Tide:)

And as you can see, he is still learning from the dogs...LOL He thinks "why do I have to eat with my hands when I can just use my mouth like the doggies."
Isn't this hilarious...He is licking the sauce or rather dipping his face in it
Did I mention that my Aiden baby LOVES spending time outdoors. Here he is clapping. He's so excited to be outside.

And Trey is just thrilled to have his picture taken....He asked me "mom, why do you always have to take pictures?" Memories son, Memories. Believe me, you guys will all appreciate it someday:)

Swimming at South Point

On Aiden's Birthday we all went over to the south point and went swimming. Aiden loved it. It was his first time swimming in a "big pool" and we all had a great time. And of Course Trey and his cousins loved it too:)
